Moneywise Plus Project Lead
A leading consortium of voluntary and third sector organisations in Leicester and Leicestershire. Moneywise Plus builds on the success of our previous Moneywise programme. Moneywise Plus started in October 2016 and will run until December 2019. The project is funded by the Big Lottery and European Social Fund. Moneywise Plus will support individuals across Leicester and Leicestershire to improve their digital and financial skills and support them to move towards employment, job search, education or training.
Moneywise Plus Delivery Partners
b-inspired is the trading name of the Braunstone Foundation, a neighbourhood-based charity delivering a range of support services and volunteering opportunities. These include support for young people (we are a delivery partner for Talent Match Leicestershire), apprenticeships, sport and physical activities, food-share, and community business growth programmes.
Delivers a number of housing related advice, support and assistance services to homeless and vulnerably housed people in the Borough of Charnwood, Leicestershire and Rutland.
Community Advice and Law Service (CALS)
Advice in Social Welfare Law through casework and telephone advice; representation at County Court. Advice sessions at outreach venues across the city or home visits where necessary; financial capability education and training.
Provides informal and accredited courses for local people to help them improve their basic skills, gain qualifications, find work and understand how to use a computer to become confident internet users.
Largest further education provider in the sub-region with dedicated student support. Already provides IT and financial course provision for vulnerable groups across locations and through a range of partnerships.
Leicestershire County Council
County council for Leicestershire, excluding Leicester and Rutland. Runs Superfast Leicestershire, a project to increase superfast fibre broadband coverage across Leicestershire in partnership with BT.
Social landlord with around 30,000 customers in the Midlands and South East England. Provides a range of support to vulnerable customers including extra care schemes, affordable furniture and mental health housing support.
